Now and then, it’s good for the soul, the relationship and the marriage to spend some time together – just the two of you – in a romantic setting with excellent and exciting food and delicious wine.

The Graingers at The Stanford Inn have planned a special evening for you and your significant other, called “Date Night At The Inn,” at a remarkably low cost of $24 per person. Date Night is planned for two nights only: September 10 and October 8, 2011.

The Chef has created a four-course menu that is both stimulating and delicious and includes traditionally romantic foods that will delight the palate.

Appetizers include a choice of scallops on half shell with mango salsa, brie and berries, roasted red pepper bisque, or potato pancakes topped with honey-smoked salmon and caviar.

Salad choices are Stanford house salad greens with mandarin oranges, almonds and craisins; iceburg wedge with bleu cheese and bacon crumbles; or fresh melon with basil cream sauce.

Whatever your mood, the two of you are going to be pleased with a choice of entrees: prime rib with horseradish crème and aujus; Stanford stuffed chicken (spinach, onions, red pepper, garlic, pine nuts, crème and bleu cheese); or Gulf coast group (blackened, grilled or fried).
