This delightful home has been used in many TV adverts and may be familiar to those who have seen the film 'My Girl' - Columbia Pictures - as this was the main residence used in the film. The original carriage stop at the front of the building still bears the name of the original owner, Mr T L Wilson, who was a prominent businessman in the area. The wonderful wrap around porch provides the perfect location for quiet meditation and reflection on a gentler era, now sadly passing into history.

The age of the building does not compromise the comfort and enjoyment of our guests. Some rooms have jacuzzi baths, some have large walk in showers, but all have private bathrooms and televisions sets. All rooms are individually decorated, many with antique queen size beds. All have sumptuous furnishings and the integrity of age, so much sought after in bed and breakfast accommodation. Your room rate includes light refreshments available all day at our second floor coffee station.

Our quiet gardens, lush with tropical plants, are a magnet for those wishing to put their feet up with a good book. We also offer a large swimming pool, patio area and covered hot tub for the more energetic guests. On site parking is provided and walking in the area around the Inn is an absolute pleasure. Access to local telephone calling and computer hook-up are available in our general area and FAX facilities are available by arrangement.
Our home is located in the quiet historic district of Bartow, and yet we are only a short walk from Main Street, with it's fine old buildings, a selection of local shops, court houses old and new and an expanding quantity of restaurants. A 15 minute drive takes you to downtown Lakeland, and further affield you will find the Disney Parks (45 mins), Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure (50 mins), Busch Gardens (45 mins), downtown Orlando (55 mins). Both Tampa and Orlando Airports are 50 minutes to the west and east respectively. Bartow, which is conveniently located at the intersection of U.S. 98 and Highway 60, has a fine Municipal Golf Course, and there are many courses in the area to test all levels. Fishing and boating are well catered for and cycling is a joy in the immediate area. Bartow has an expanding repertoire of special events, and we will be pleased to advise you of any special treats during your visit.
